X-mas?

Hey Guys!
Are U in X-mas a mood yet?
Hmmmm.....honestly I am! Because we did a lot of Christmas cookies yet! And we have a really huge tree in our living room! It is exactly the way I expected it to be! It is wonderful with all these ornaments and presents underneath!

And Champe did a really good job with helping me with doing Christmas cookies so far!
I mean...last week we have been to Kirstin's house for decorating cookies and Champe and Coral did about 5 Cookies! Kirstin and me did the rest! And that was the pretty impressive result:

What are you guys doing on Christmas? Any plans? Tell me! And then I'm gonna tell you on Wednesday-when I come home- what I did! ^^
Surprise, surprise! =P

Yeah! And finally Christmas is over!.....=(
But we celebrated a lot and it was fun, because Kevin's family is awesome!
They gave me this really funny Christmas present (of course his nephews picked it out because they thought it's soooooo funny if I wear them!

So we celebrated together with his whole family and had a lot of fun!
And me and my family are going to celebrate at some point around New Years!...
Just when we have time^^

New York City!

Ok first of all: I'm sorry that I didn't write for such a long time!
But as you all know I had school every evening which was really exhausting after a while!
And so I just didn't have time to write every evening!
You know it was just busy! So Sorry bout that again! I hope you guys aren't too mad at me, are you?

So last weekend I was in New York City which was really exciting!
I went there with Kathi(an Au Pair from Germany) & Camilla (an Au Pair from Brazil)!
It was so much fun! We went there with the bus which goes from Chinatown DC to Chinatown NY and it took us just 4 hours to get there(which is really fast)! We slept in a Hostel at the Central Park with 9 other girls in our room! ^^ And all in all it only cost us 63 $!!!(35 bus & 28 hostel)! Isn't that nice?
It was so great that we decided to go there in spring again! For sure!

First Snow!!!!

Ahhhhhh NOOOOOO HATE SNOW!!!! It's sooooooo cold! Way too cold!!!
Yesterday it started snowing in the morning and everybody thought it wouldn't last that long BUT it snowed and snowed and snowed and it didn't stop until this morning! (By the time we had 3 inches of snow!)

So we got a lot of snow and people are behaving like they never have seen snow before!
They are driving like crazy!( I mean like sooooooooooooo careful and much slower than necessary)
Just like they never have had snow before! But I think part of the reason can be that they DON"T change their wheels into winter wheels!!!!! Isn't that stupid???? I think it is...!

But yeah... this morning Champe and me had fun playing outside in the snow! Because it was all sunny and nice this morning!
That's the only time when I like snow but after a few hours it's all dirty and growth!

And Caden looks all cute with his winter outfit! Nut two seconds after this pic he started crying because he didn't like the hat that much^^.
But still....:
I have the cutest boys ever!

It's getting chilly!

Last week Izzy and me went to the Park with our boys and it was pretty cold!
So there's hope for the German people your NOT the only people which are freezing!
But we have weapons against the cold! Look at this:
Isn't that really COOL?

Thanksgiving!

Last Thursday (almost a week ago....Srry bout that) was my first real Thanksgiving!!!
It was awesome. We had 20 people-including kids- coming over to our house! So it was a big party going on over here!
And it was fun to cook all the stuff for the meal! ....It was soooooo delicious!
So we had a great time and everybody enjoyed it!
Especially the kids enjoyed playing in the living room without a specific adult watching them...^^
and that was the result!

But we -the three German Au Pairs- (Ellen, Caro& me) convinced the kids the a "clean-the-living-room together-game" could be really fun and so we did it all together, which was a big help for me! =)

So it was a great first Thanksgiving with my American family!!! Love you guys!

Level 9 in two days!

This week was amazing!
On Wednesday I went to the nature center with Izzy and the kids and it was fun like everytime!
But this time the boys put on some costumes and it was soooooo cute!

On Thursday I started school! Finally!!!
And it was really fun! Even if it is in the evening but I don't care! Sooo...
I went there, was in the class and.... I was all bored!
Because of the fact that the books for Level 9, which I was in and Level 10 go together, I decided to ask the principal if I could do Level 9 on my own and move up to Level 10!?
That way I'm faster and can do the TOFEL, which is the final test earlier! (and I can save another 500$) ;P
And he was pretty impressed and said:" Of course you can! Sounds like a plan!"
Yeahhhhhh!!!! So I'm all proud of myself now!
And by the way:
HEY MR. HEINTZE:" LEVEL 9 in 2 DAYS!!!!"
Hihihi...and all that with 5 points in my English A-Level! *Smile*

On Friday after school I went over to Vic's house to a birthday party from a friend of her which wasn't very exciting. So we decided to leave early(1.30am)...
BUT: It was actually the best decision ever!!!
Because: I met her MOM!!! XD
Me and Kersena (Vic's mom) had such a great time, I think it was almost annoying for Vic and Ryan...hihihi... because we were talking about Germany and what I'm going to do after the 2 years and at some point she mentioned that she has her OWN hair salon downstairs!!!
And I was totally excited about that because I was searching for somebody and now I found her! Yupie!
And she just went:" Ok here is the deal: I'm going to cut your hair, if YOU are going to cook a really good German Dinner for us!?"
I mean: Isn't that great??? The hell OF COURSE I'm going to cook a Dinner for you guys!!!!!!!
No question about that! (Ich hab da so an Spaetzle und Schnitzel gedacht, was denkt ihr so? is ok oder?) So it was just awesome!!!! =)

And on Saturday I went to the first Anime Convention of my life!
It was sooooooooo interesting! Especially the people which had been dressed up were so funny!
Look at this:

Isn't that awesome!? I just loved it! But honestly I really missed my lovely awesome brother! I really needed him there! That would have made it 10 times better!!! I love you Dirki... next time we go together! I Promise!!!

Finally I was Ice skating Yesterday! (even if we don't have snow or anything close to that)
But somehow they made it up that you can go Ice skating at the " Pentagon Ice Row Skating" at the shopping mall over there! It was fun because I haven't done it for such a long time so that was a nice Idea! Thx Nicolle!

This Week!

This Wednesday I was at "Jammin' Java" with Champe& Freddy, Izzy& Kelcy and Baby Sydney!
We had a lot of fun together! and Champe and Freddy were dancing the whole time.

Thursday after I finished Babysitting for Champe and Zander which was awesome again (the boys are just so cute and so easy to handle! We always have a lot of fun together!), I went to a little concert from Kevin and his band at the "Bangkok Blues"!
And of course it was great!!!

And on Friday me and Brad went to a little party at Vic's house, who is Ryan Sanderson's Girlfriend! And she and Katherine are soooooo nice! Two of the friendliest girls I have ever met!

And on Saturday I went shopping with Katherina from Germany ( I just met her) but she is honestly the first really friendly and nice Au Pair that I have ever met here).
We get along great and spent the whole day together at Tyson's! It was fantastic!!!

So all in all it was a awesome weekend again! =)

Bowling! Yipie!

On Friday I went out for Bowling and it was the first time in my live that I went BOWLING!
And of course I thought it's gonna be easy but: IT WASN'T!!!

But it was a lot of fun...especially the drinks were huuuuuuuuuge! That's America!
And afterwards we went to Logan's house (a friend of brad) and had a little party with friends!
It was really fun... I mean: Have you ever heard of "Brain Haemorrhage"???
It basically means : " Gehirn Blutung"!!! WOW!!!??? (ungefaehr das war meine Reaktion) =)
And it looks like that:
Great isn't it? So yes it was a nice evening! (Jeder war betrunken ausser ICH! =( Aber ich hatte meinen Spass zuzusehen!) Believe me!

Halloween!!!

Hey guys!
Finally I have the chance to post my Halloween with Champe!
The night before Halloween we carved pumpkins together and had so much fun! It was Champes first pumpkin carving! And he did a great job!

Then on Wednesday evening we went out for "trick or treat" with Alex's family and the two boys were soooo cute! It was great! And of course they got a loooot of candy and were totally happy about it!

Happy Halloween!

The greatest weekend ever!

Hey People!
This weekend was my greatest weekend ever!
I did so many things...
First I went out with a friend, Brad and we went to Tyson's to see the premiere of "Saw 4"!!!
And guys I tell you: It is soooooo scary but sooooooo great! You have to watch it! Oh wait a second:
Haaaaahaaaaaaaa it's just coming up in Germany next year!!! Hihihi!
So whoever liked the other parts of it has to watch it!

On Saturday I helped Brad and his Family to set up all the stuff for the Halloween Party which was at their house (they live about 5 min. from my house)!
And the Party was awesome!!!!!

We were "The Evolution of man"
Here you can see our "Ape" and one part of the "Cavemen-couple"!
And of course we won the prize for the "Best Family costume"

AND....guess what...!?
I did the first Chili in my live for this Chili contest and I won the prize for the "Most unique Chili"!!! Because it was the recipe from my Daddy!!!
Isn't that fantastic? I hope you're proud of me Dad!?
So this was the first real "Halloween Party" in my life and it was just great! I really enjoyed it!
Especially hanging out with Brad and his friends afterwards was just fun! =)

So after 6 hours of sleep which is very much if you compare it to my weekends in Germany I went to "Costco" (www.Costco.com)with my family on Sunday morning.
That's one of these huge stores where you can buy EVERYTHING!
But most people tend to buy stuff which they don't really need because you can only buy a tonne of it because everything is sooooo cheap! =)

And finally there was the highlight of the weekend:
" Last Train Home" (www.Lasttrainhome.com) was playing at the Iota(a little pub/caffee)!
And it was the most wonderful thing I have done here so far!
Because we were all soooo happy!
Part of the reason for that was that Laura and Todd met at an concert from "Last Train home" and that made it really special to go there!
By the way:
If you want to listen to real American music then you have to listen to them!
And in my eyes they are one of the best Bands I have ever seen!
They are totally not what I was listening to in Germany BUT:
I think that's part of the reason why I like them so much!
They are really really great!
And so was this hole weekend! =)
I'm so happy here and so glad that I have the most wonderful American family that you can think of!!! Thank you guys...

My two cuties!

Hey guys!

Today I got a package from my sister and her two boys,Luca(4) and Rico(2)! And of course I unwrapped it together with Champe, Caden and Laura!
And guess what was in there?
Some Bubbles for Champe which Luca picked out for him and a little soft rattle toy which was Rico's favorite toy when he was at Caden's age!
And Rico thought that he wants to give it to "Tine's Baby" now!!! Isn't that cute?
But the most important gift was the picture of my two German boys which I really love and of course totally miss!!! I love you boys!

By the way: The Ramazzotti helped against the homesickness! ;-)
Thx Sandra! I love you!!! *big huge Kiss*

Pumpkin Festival!!!

Hey People! More Festivals!!!
Today we have been to a Pumpkin Festival with Jill and Zander!
And it was wonderful!
They had so much stuff for the kids to play with. It was incredible!

I can't believe that these guys here have a festival for children almost every weekend! It doesn't matter what the topic is...
for example this one:
It's about Halloween but instead of doing something scary they just do a festival about pumpkins and do it for kids at the age from 2 to 6(or older I'm not sure)!!! That's just a wonderful way to do it for them!
I really like that! It was a really great day today!

And I have to say it again:
I'm just sooooooooo happy here you wouldn't believe it!!!

Claude Moore Colonial Farm!

At Saturday
we and Zander's family and Rebeca's(Champes preschool teacher) family have been to a Farm Festival which is supposed to be in 1771.
So the people there were dressed like the people who lived around that time and everything seemed to e from that time!
It should dive you a overview about American history(a little bit) and about how people lived!

It was great and they had a lot of activities for the Kids there and they could see a bunch of animals and shows there!
And it was also a wonderful day! It was sunny and hot and we just enjoyed the day together!

Friday Party!

Hey!!!
Friday I went out with David, an othe Au Pair I met at the Cultural Care au Pair Training school in NY, to a club called "Ultrabar"!

I met David at LADO, the College where I'm going to do my ESL (English Second Language) classes! But we met there accidental because we just where there to do a test to check on our English "level". It's a table from 1 to 10 and I was a 9!!! Jupie!
Hey Mr. Heinze: LEVEL 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(my former English teacher)
I'm going to start the class at Nov/15!!!
Yeah I'm really looking forward to it!

Hey Baltimore is great!!!

On Sunday I went to Baltimore with Kevin and it was such a great area there it was a just as well day!!!
Seriously, it was wonderful!
So we walked along the Bay and enjoyed the great weather and the sun!

And at the end we went to the "Hard Rock Cafe" and it was the first time in my life that I have been to a real Hard Rock Cafe!
So I really enjoyed the day!!!
Thx Kevin!!! =)

Soccer game!?

Did you think that a soccer game couldn't be that American?
I thought a soccer game is more like the soccer games I saw in Germany BUT:

Have you ever seen a guy like this at a soccer game in Germany?
I didn't... I mean there was the team "D.C. United" playing against the team "Chicago Fire"!
And none of them had the colors blue&yellow!!!! =)
So it was really funny to watch that guy!

But of
course the game was great too!
Especially the people who were going crazy... but that was more similar to the games in Germany! The people who went to the world cup games know what I'm talking about right? ;-)
